I have worked at Craighaven since June 2006 and have been manager since November 2007. I have a background in general nursing and hospice care, and I am passionate about offering a high level of person centred care to my residents. Although my day is very busy, I enjoy appending time with my residents and staff and joining in with their daily activities. I like to see the staff interacting with the residents and love the happy, family atmosphere of the home.
I have worked at Craighaven since March 2005 and enjoy my job as deputy manager. Each day is different and brings new achievements and challenges. I work closely with the rest of the team to deliver the best possible care to everyone that lives at Craighaven, ensuring that all our residents are treated as individuals whilst maintaining their dignity and respect.
I joined the staff at Craighaven in October 2014 as a member of the care team. I was promoted to Assistant Manager in August 2017 and have just completed my NVQ level 5 in Leadership and Management. My role is to assist in maintaining and improving standards within the home and to support staff with all aspects of their work including Care Certificate training. I am enjoying the challenges that my new role is giving me and love working with the residents and staff at Craighaven.
